We had an exciting week around here. Patrick was finally evaluated for physical therapy, which was eye-opening and good. Long story short, he "measured" perfectly in his social development, but only at 1 and 1/2 months physically and mentally. They aren't too concerned about this, and are hopeful that he can soon be right on target with the help of some physical therapy (his mental delay is seen in his left side being "behind" his right side - hopefully both his physical and mental delays will be aided by physical work). Other than that, it was a pretty fun week, because dad had a 4-day weekend due to the MLK Jr. holiday. We took advantage of it with some good movies and a family hike in McKelligan Canyon on Monday. Oh... and with some chocolate chip cookies!
It was a family occasion making the cookies - our first with my new KitchenAid Mixer, a Christmas gift from Joe! It was GREAT FUN!
It was a perfect day for a walk on Monday - in the 50's and beautiful. Today it was in the 70's! Summer is on it's way to El Paso! I just noticed that Joe didn't include his second son when snapping this pic... he was there and seemed to enjoy it as much as the rest of us, just FYI.
And here is a quick picture that Thérèse snapped of Patrick this morning. This was his first "PT session" in the Bumbo. His neck gets tired pretty fast, but his siblings love playing with him in it!
Love, Us.
