Life After a Family Visit

There is always a period of recover needed after visits with family.

Here is our recovery time looked like after the Lanoues.

Some extra sleep.

T's project continuing to (literally) bloom!

And Hector taking advantage of mom's recovery time by making excess messes!

The Last Day with the Lanoues

It was a full last day with family in town.

First we did a simple hike, followed by an Army museum.

Then we went to put our toes in the Sound and find some marine life.

We had great success!

Then we split up.

Mary and Paul went to the rainforest and the "real" ocean.

The rest of us took advantage of nap times and another evening at the American Lake beach.

It was truly a once in a lifetime visit from the Lanoue clan, and we were so thankful!

An Evening at the Beach and Under the Dome

When Sunday evening rolled around, we decided to get off our butts and head to the beach!

It was a great idea!

We could see the mountain! No clouds!

When we got home, the kids decided to make a night of it and camp out under the dome!

It was a great success, which led to a morning badminton match before breakfast.

Patrick's First Communion!

It finally happened! 

Patrick received his First Holy Communion!

COVID couldn't keep him away from Christ forever!

It was a unique First Communion.

It was outdoors.

Numbers were limited (which Patrick was SO thankful for).

But we didn't have to wear masks and we had extended family present!

It was wonderful!

Fr. John Kelly presided.

I was able to cantor.

Praise God!

T did her wonderful thing again.

She made delicious marble cupcakes from scratch.

Not only that, but she decorated them with strawberry Sacred and Immaculate Hearts,

as well as making sugar cookie "hosts" for toppers!

SOOO Cute!

That afternoon we couldn't tear Patrick away from the 

Lego Catechism that he got from Grandma and Bumpa.

Congratulations, Patrick!

We are so excited for you.

What a blessing!

He was able to receive with two family friends: Terry and Sarah!
