Well, our week started out with a bit of surgery. Aana, Therese's most-loved doll, had been loved so much that both legs and one arm were at the point of being inadvertently amputated. So... mom switched from stitching David's stocking for a moment in order to reattach her severed limbs. It was a successful operation.
Therese has become quite the courageous girl at the water park (especially when we are the only ones there). This is her favorite new spot at the park...

It is HOT here... the kids enjoy the park for quite awhile, but do spend a good portion of it in the shade and drinking/snacking on juicy snacks.

The kids and I took a very quick trip to Nashville (7 1/2 hours one way) and back Sunday and Monday for the Solemn Vows of my dear friend, Sister Elizabeth Marie Kalscheur. It was beautiful!
We also were able to meet up with and catch up with some dear friends who studied in Rome with Sister and I in college. The kids took a quick liking to Fr. Jon Meyer from Indianapolis.

Considering the length of everything - from the car ride to the Mass - the kids were SO WONDERFUL!
Sister was beautiful and I am so glad that I was able to share the day with her!
The second Dominican here is Fr. Austin Litke - who also studied with us in Rome.
And, to end with this week, the kids and I did a bit of second-hand shopping yesterday (we invested in a "new" $5 kitchen table!), and in the process I saw this really awesome wine/limoncello glass carrier/rack at an antiques place. I had to take a picture so that someday in my wildest dreams I could have one of my own.... so cool (and great use of space - it is suspended above the sink - well out of head-hitting space)!
