Yes - Missouri is hot, but because we live in it, we don't notice it as much as a visitor. So... we took advantage of the "cool" June evenings and went for a few walks, sometimes just checking out the cute little town of Waynesville - other times making the trek to the public park, which includes a "splash park"!
Both kids have gotten in to playdough (and yes... this is still the grape playdough that Auntie Ruthie made for them when we were in Minnesota!) In order to cut down on messes, we always play on this oil cloth blanket, either outside or on the card table/kitchen table.
Yay, SPLASH PARK!
David DOES get in and splash once in a while, but he always loves the rocks at the play ground!
After a fun morning at the park, mom was not wise and tried to fit in a quick grocery trip to Wal-Mart: See below for the results...
They have gotten in to making animal tracks in their playdough and testing dad on his knowledge of them. So far... he has passed with 100% accuracy!
We miss you and love you! Therese would love to give a free and personalized tour of her splash park to anyone who makes the trip to Missouri!
