Zita Legos and Other Early February Happenings

 

Ben Hatke's Zita the Spacegirl series is well-loved by the boys in this house.

Last week David decided to create some of his favorite c

haracters and scenes from the books out of Legos.

Haircut time once again rolled around a couple days ago.

We watched (half of) the Super Bowl, just to say we did.

And there were some intense family-wide paper wars had in the dining room!

Spring is beginning to show her head!

T and EV experimented with braiding wet hair before bed.

It was decided that there is no need to repeat this experiment!

EV made a card for her Godmother.

And everyone else made silly Valentines for fun.

Late January at Home

Late January brought my parents out with our load of canned goods and meat.

And snuggles, of course!

It also brought a time of prep for Joe, which meant I learned to professionally hem dress pants!

And, of course, more snuggles happened.

The boys started their new favorite past time.

They call it a "Paper War".

Everyone received colored markers/pens for Christmas.

They break them out, along with a large piece of paper, and battle each other.

It can go on for hours.

And, with the strong possibility of a move this summer, 

Maria is steadily emptying the house of excess... 

and making some money doing it!

And we got to see Maggie again!

She is doing just perfectly!

Finally, the snowflakes came down around Feb. 1.

They had served us well.

Verly Christmas Camp

Just days after the Libandes left, we were prepping to leave for Christmas with the Verly's!

David felt it was of highest importance that he be able to 

share his amazing Lego castle with his cousins. 

So...he did a photo shoot.

The trip was without much difficulty, other that mom got super motion sick.

Our first stop was a dinner with good friends/godson.

It was so good to catch up!

And then we headed to Marshall and the fun times rolled!

Oh...and I took basically no pictures.
