As I alluded to yesterday, the Librandi family is actual doing a rare thing this weekend and doing a couple little trips! On Friday we went to Las Cruces, which will probably be our favorite day trip location when we think back on El Paso. We must admit, our greatest pull there is two HUGE used book stores (COAS - if you are ever here, check them out and let us know so that you can help us use up our credit there!). However, the last time we visited we found another attraction that is definitely giving COAS a run for it's money at number one - the wooden park that I'll share pictures of tomorrow.
But, for today, I'm sharing pictures from the new place in Las Cruces that we tried out this time: the Railroad Museum! We had no idea what it was going to be like, but it was super kid-friendly, very informative, and quite enjoyable! I could see us going back again.
In the first area, they had a bunch of informative artifacts and some hands-on things, like a morse code machine. The kids enjoyed all that, but then we entered the back room - the model train room!
We were ALL pretty enthralled!
But that wasn't all! They had an actual 130 year-old all-wood caboose that we got to go see, inside and out! It was actually REALLY neat!
Wow! And what was most amazing - Joe actually had me get in a picture to prove my presence at this new fun Las Cruces attraction for the family!
