Last weekend Joe had the blessing of an old friend
flying out to spend a day with him in the mountains.
They had a chilly, but beautiful, day for a hike!
In order to start early, they drove out to the trail the night before and spent the night in the Pilot.
As you will see, beautiful doesn't quite do credit to the view that they had all day.
They went 10 miles up (to right about 6,000 ft.), and then headed back.
They came back sore, but thankful for the time together and the great beauty of the PNW.
