Enchanted Valley with the Kids: Day 2

And...I'm finally blogging again!

The second day of our hike to Enchanted Valley was beautiful. 

Our treated us well through the night.

 

The kids took turns being in charge of the fire, and they all did very well.

I continued reading to them from "Hatchet", which we all absolutely loved.

There was a pretty cave and river right below our campsite.

       

After breakfast and picking up camp, we started our hike to the next campsite.

We reached it without incident. 

Once again, these kiddos are great hikers.

The kids were super pumped to find a (freezing cold) river with little rapids right next to our camp.

Mmmmmm....MRE's (TOTM's, actually).

We really appreciate them, for the most part, on our camping trips.
