Once the relatives left, it was time to get down to business.
Since I am blogging this about 6 months after this picture, I can tell you how Hector's potty-training progressed.
As usual, the little one got us very encouraged by going #1 and #2 successfully on the stool on one of the first "sessions" in the bathroom.
Following that, was months and months of frustration and lot of wet training pants.
In just the last few days (first days of February) he has now finally gone #1 and #2 again on the potty...once.
Hopefully that doesn't mean that months and months of frustration are going to begin again.

We had a really cool science lesson out of our dining room window one morning.
We witnessed a mother chickadee feeding a "Baby" cowbird from the suet feeder.
We had read about how cowbirds lay their eggs in other birds' nests, but now we witnessed the result!
And, as her usual, T got right back to work at home!
Baking beautiful and delicious things...
And bringing in a legitimate harvest from her backyard garden!
Oh...and taking photo shoots for her mom, who has become a photography drop-out.
She even found her grandma's favorite: Lilacs! in the woods.
