A Gorgeous Day!

It was a pretty simple day here at the Librandi household.  We had a casual breakfast, because there was no morning Mass, due to all the priests still being out of town after last night's chrism Mass in Savannah.  So, we had some good baby doll and toy car time inside - the kids don't really desire to go outside in the morning.  I'm not quite sure why... it sure is pleasant here in the mornings.... I might have to force them outside one of these mornings, so they can see how nice it is (and quiet, while all the big kids are at school!).

Then we were going to head out to get groceries on base, and also stop by the thrift shop there in order to find some needed articles of clothing to complete my new dress outfits.   Right as we were picking up our toys in the patio, however, we heard a meow!  We looked out the window and there was a stray (and might I say kind of mean-looking and cross-eyed) cat!

So... we waited a few extra minutes to make sure the cat had meandered elsewhere, and then we headed out.  The kids were great on the trip, and we even found the perfect shirt to go under one of my dresses, which was a lot too voluptuous for me before (and this was a true needle in the haystack... thank you St. Anthony!).

When we got home, we had lunch, and Therese had another photo shoot, and her models today were herself, Aana the doll, and mommy in her new dresses!

After nap time the kids were craving pancakes, which they chomped down quickly before heading out for an evening on the "playground by our house".  On the walk down to the playground, we had a rare sighting of ducks at "our pond"!  The mommy and daddy duck were just sitting there hanging out, getting a little privacy away from all the other geese and ducks at the main pond.

 Then we had some good jungle gym time - this time with a big and little baby doll sliding and climbing along with Therese.

 Then, we planned to head inside for baths and bed, but it was just too gorgeous of an evening to not spend just a little more time on our "lawn" doing, what else?... throwing baby dolls around like balls!

 Then Therese got an itch to call and chat with people she missed.  First she talked with Aunty Nancy, and then she was able to talk with all her cousins AND Aunt Ruthie!  During her chats, David and I had a little tickle-torture fun!

 We spent so much more time outside than we should have, that mom had to make good on her promise earlier in the day (that Therese could have a hotdog in the evening) while the kids were in the bathtub!  Therese never forgets a promise... especially when it involves "favorite" food!  (It is kind of Therese' current cute thing to say everything that she likes is her FAVORITE!)
